I am the candidate for working families. I want to fix our roads, create living-wage jobs by improving broadband internet access, and safeguard our libraries and parks.
The past 8 years have been challenging for our county. We have a declining population, low school enrollment and a stagnant economy, and we’re not going to improve by continuing the mistakes of the past.
We need someone with a proven record of integrity, public service and good stewardship of taxpayer dollars. I work for the Office of Emergency Services Tree Mortality Program. I have experience administering a $2.4 million State Responsibility Area grant, and I successfully applied for another $1.6 million California Climate Investments grant. These efforts will greatly improve safety in our community by limiting the risk from hazardous dead trees, creating shaded fuel breaks and defensible space to prevent wildfires.
My long history of public service has prepared me for the many issues facing Tuolumne County. In the past, I have been involved with the public library as a volunteer and relief worker and I’ve seen what a valuable asset it is to our community.
In addition, I have been involved in public service with County Behavioral Health and as a former Deputy Editor for the Union Democrat newspaper.
